Hostile work environment
Workplace Harassment is a real menace for employees. Harassment at the workplace destroys the entire working environment and makes it hostile. Employees find it extremely difficult to adjust to such hostile environment where they are constantly targeted by others for mistreatment. Harassment at the workplace can take place at the hands of the employer or fellow colleagues who try to taint the reputation of a particular employee. Harassment of an employee may happen due to different reasons, for instance jealousy, competitiveness, spite, or professional rivalry, to quote a few.
