Supplements for joint pain relief

One of my friends suffering joint pain praised the supplements for long. He has been taking glucosamine & chondroitin for at least 10yrs. He still has pain,but a definite improvement in pain and ROM. I researched it a bit before ever recommending it to anyone and what I found out made me try it.You need to take enough of it long enough for it to work..1500mg daily in divided doses. and possibly reduce to a 750mg a day after 6-8 weeks.It is only useful in OA,and only for certain joints such as hands, hips and knees, which is why it doesn’t help spine pain or shoulder pain.Consumer reports has studied it and found it effective in OA, and they were surprised to see the same effects and quality even in the non"name" brands.
