Using Kitchen Cabinets to Create a Window Seat
I wanted to create a window seat in my kitchen eating area but when I started getting quotes for a custom built window seat I was shocked at the cost. Some contractors wanted a couple thousand dollars just to build a window seat. Having installed some cabinets before, I decided to be ambitious and try to tackle this one myself. Since I wanted storage below the window seat, I decided to use stock kitchen cabinets as the base of the seat.
By using some wall cabinets that were 30 wide x 15 high, I was able to create a nice base that I could put cushions on as the seat.
